At Argyle Therapy we believe everyone deserves therapy that sees them, honors them, and supports them. Whether you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual or another identity on the spectrum (LGBTQIA+), you are welcome here — and you are valid. Your sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are not issues to be “fixed.” You aren’t broken. You aren’t “less than”. We are queer-affirming therapists (some of us queer-identified ourselves) and trained in providing culturally competent, trauma-informed, and sex-positive therapy.
Privacy & Safety
We know that queer folks often carry a layered history of discrimination, invisibility, rejection and fear. Your safety and privacy matters deeply to us.
In our work together, you can expect a space defined by:
Queer and trans people face measurable mental-health and relational impacts simply by living in a society that frequently marginalizes them. For example, research highlights how stigma, fear of harm, and invalidation affect LGBTQIA+ people’s access to care and outcomes.
Affirming therapy means more than tolerating your identity; it means celebrating it, centering it, and inviting you to bring your whole self into the room. It's important to find and engage a therapist who truly “gets it.”
When you don’t have to educate your therapist about your identity, or fear the possibility of being mis-gendered or face any micro-aggressions, you can spend your energy on growth, healing, connection and pleasure instead of defense.
Families for queer people look different—and that’s a strength. You might be building a family through birth, adoption, fostering, surrogacy, co-parenting, or chosen-family networks.
Topics we explore with queer-families include:
In therapy with queer families, we focus on connection, communication, boundaries, resilience and pleasure—rather than fitting you into a heteronormative mold.

Dating and intimacy in queer spaces can be both liberating and complicated. You deserve relationships that feel emotionally safe, sexually fulfilling, and true to your values.
You may be navigating:
We create a space where you can talk openly about sex, love, and identity — without shame or judgment. Together, we’ll work toward relationships that feel honest, empowered, and aligned with who you truly are.

In South Florida and elsewhere, budgets for community-based programs supporting queer and trans mental health are being slashed. Local LGBTQIA+ organizations continue to report major reductions in state and federal grants, forcing them to shrink or eliminate vital services.
At Argyle Therapy Group we step in where systems fall short — offering affirming, safe, private practice care that refuses to be silenced. Our political action is our presence: showing up, being loud, and unapologetic about queer and trans wellness and resilience.

If you’re ready to explore your identity, open your relationships, deepen your connections, heal from discrimination or trauma, or just show up for yourself as your full sexual/gender self—let’s connect. Reach out for a free 20-minute consultation and let’s find your affirming path forward.
